Former FCA general counsel Loeb joins Chicago law firm

Mayer Brown announced today that Marjorie Harris Loeb has joined the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice as a partner in Chicago.

Ms. Loeb is a seasoned general counsel, corporate finance and securities lawyer with substantial corporate transaction and commercial experience both as a member of a law firm and as in-house counsel to global manufacturing, publicly traded companies. She is well-versed at change management and providing strategic advice to boards of directors and top management in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, capital raising and corporate restructuring initiatives for global manufacturing companies. In her previous position as senior vice president and general counsel, she helped complete the integration of Chrysler into the Fiat family of companies.

Mayer Brown lawyers represent major auto companies in regulatory matters and serve as lead legal advisors to the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center for cybersecurity awareness and coordination across the automotive industry, which includes representatives from a large number of auto companies. With her background in the automotive industry, Ms. Loeb will play a pivotal role in Mayer Brown’s Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Initiative, which makes the firm a go-to resource for commercial, regulatory, data security and compliance matters relating to connected and autonomous vehicle technology.

Before her tenure at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ms. Loeb was an assistant general counsel at Delphi Corporation. Previously, she was in private practice. Ms. Loeb earned a JD from Harvard Law School after working at McKinsey & Company following her graduation from Wellesley College.
