Everyone has a story inspired by Chevrolet

Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet.

It was a great advertising slogan, and it symbolizes what Chevrolet has been over the decades.

Many of us remember Chevrolet after World War II. We can still sing along with Dinah Shore telling us to see the U.S.A. in our Chevrolet. We have watched Chevrolets compete on race tracks across the country. Chevy has been an important part of American culture for a century.

When car companies were starting up a century ago, Louis Chevrolet may not have been the best businessman in the nation. But he had a reputation as a race car driver, and he lent his name to a car that has endured as an iconic brand long after his accomplishments have been forgotten.

Chevrolet is a part of America. It is deeply rooted in our society and our memories. Everyone has a story about a Chevrolet.

And it has lasted much longer than most products. Now Chevrolet has joined a handful of other car brands globally that have survived a century in the marketplace.

No one really knows what Louis Chevrolet had in mind when he started the company that bears his name. But after 100 years, we have a bright and strong image of this automobile brand.
